Casa Paz is located at the foothills of the Parque Natural, with far ranging stunning views across the valley. The area is mainly a traditional farming village but with the added bonus of some alternative therapy and yoga centres nearby. A local shepherd can be seen on the hillside with his flock, bee keepers and honey makers and Chico, who is 84 and still comes down the hill to tend his land by hand every day. Very much like stepping back in time but only 10 minutes away from the historic town of Tavira and surrounding beaches. There is a selection of local bars and restaurants only a few minutes drive away. Plenty of great places to eat to suit any budget and serving local favourites like wild boar, fresh grilled octopus and seabass at great prices and two one Michelin star restaurants within a 12 minute drive. The immediate area has so many walks and areas to explore.
